(Women’s Missionary Union)
The Women’s Missionary Union, founded in 1988, is a Christian organization whose true purpose is to challenge believers to understand and be involved in the mission of God at the local, state and world level. The WMU consist of Women on Mission, Youth on Mission and Kids on Mission. The Women on Mission meet monthly and carry out mission projects. Pure Water/Pure Love, Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox Ministry and Hope Tree are just some of their projects. Special offerings collected such as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering are used to support our missionaries here and abroad. Locally, our Women on Mission supply Hospice Bags, tray favors for the hospital and nursing homes, bingo prizes and keep the Food Pantry stocked.
